St. Nikolai Church
Wismar, Germany (Hochschule Wismar)
This studio project came to life in my 1st year of graduate school. We proposed 2 different programmatic schemes to be housed in this magnificently tall (over 200 ft) medieval church, St Nikolai. St. Nikolai of Wismar was built from 1381 until 1487 as a church for sailors and fishermen. St. Nicholas is one of the finest testaments to medieval brick architecture in northern Germany.
